Kate Middleton's fashion secret
The Duchess of Cambridge during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, 5 June 2012
Kate Middleton is reportedly taking fashion advice from Cara Delevingne’s mom, Pandora. She is the one who reportedly helped choose Kate’s dresses for the London premiere of “Spectre” and the 100 Women in Hedge Funds gala dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in October. Of late, the Duchess of Cambridge has upped her glam game with her new bangs, floral and eggplant dresses.
Known for her sense of style, Middleton is getting some fashion advice from Cara and Poppy Delevingne’s mom, Pandora. She reportedly helped choose Kate’s recent powder blue Jenny Packham dress and the floral Erdem gown. Kate took both the red carpets by storm in October.
“The Delevingnes have impeccable royal connections. Kate really wants to try more daring choices, so naturally turned to Pandora," a source said, talking to Grazia Daily. The insider added that they have known each other for years, and Kate trusted her advice. The insider added that Kate wore both the Jenny Packham and Erdem dresses on Pandora’s advice.
Though she loved the powder blue dress, but she needed to be a bit more convincing on the Erdem one as the shape was very unusual. Pandora was able to convince the British royal to go with the voluminous, tiered floral dress for her gala night.
Pandora is a personal shopper for the British department store Selfridges. The 56-year-old mother of Cara has spent her career advising the rich and famous on their wardrobes.
The Delevingnes have a strong royal connection. Pandora’s mother Jane Sheffield was a long-serving lady-in-waiting to the Queen Elizabeth II’s sister, Princess Margaret.
Middleton does not have a personal stylist. But, according to the insider, Pandora has been happy to advise the duchess with her wardrobe. The personal shopper enjoys giving Middleton a helping hand in style stakes. She regards it as an honor.
The 33-year-old royal loves the London-based Canadian designer label. However, the floral satin tiered dress she wore for the charity gala was a break from her normal, more conservative style. The dress is from the designer’s pre-fall 2015 collection. Her blue silk-chiffon gown was custom-made by her favorite British designer.
