Breanne Bond - biography
I was born in Plattsburgh, New York on July 13, 1984 into a typical working class family generally found in small town America. Their influences as well as my close-knit extended family circle have and continue to provide a solid foundation of strength and values. They have instilled in me a sense of grace and resilience for which I cannot express enough gratitude.
Around age nine I ran across a book teaching figure drawing. From that moment forward I became an autodidactic art student concentrating on pencil drawings of the human form, inspiring an admiration and fascination with beauty and mechanics of anatomy. Interest in art as a child fostered passion as an adult. My first camera was a point and shoot that I had received as a birthday gift when I wanted to take pictures of my son. The experience of that camera brought a fulfillment of the soul and ignited a desired career path.
I have spent the past several years developing knowledge of photography in much the same way I developed drawing technique. While exploring avenues of expression, self and creative in an effort to better understand and convey myself I came to settle into a more editorial genre of the field. I am intent to diligently develop my craft as a life’s work.
