Elena Serrano
While I was younger I was always drawing, making scrap and sitting by my mother’s side to sew or knit or crochet. When I entered adolescence, I became interested in music, theatre, movies (also influenced by my family). And this was when I discovered that I wanted to join that world, but in my own way, inspired by my hobbies and passions. So then I began sewing in the summer of 2009. Since that moment, my love for mode, design and confection has been growing and still is to this day.
I trained to be a dressmaker, personal image consultant and stylist. Nowadays, I make custom works such as by sizing and styling for photography. Working in Madrid with La Guinda de Serrano, Novias Marina Arcos, Top Love and Panambí Martinez.
The general idea in these outfits is a mix between different new trends: we can see a girl who is romantic and sophisticated and also indie and ethnic; and here is a mixture of clothes made by me (both skirt, persian trousers) and clothes from other brands.
But all of this would not be possible without the amazing work of David Gómez (photograph) and María Serrano (model and make up artist) who I have had the pleasure to work with:
David Gomez (23) was born in Madrid and studied Realization and Audiovisual Production. He has written three short films (MIMO, ALICE & MIMO-2-) and the production of the third part of MIMO is being released very soon. MIMO -2- was directed by David and he has also written many more projects that will be film later this year. Movies such as, MIMO 3D, INFECTED ZONE and VLADIMIR.
Now David is studying photography and has since worked at many weddings, baptisms, communions, beauty editorials and social events.
María Serrano (29) loves art in every way. She is an actress, dancer, model and make up artist. She likes playing the piano and writing literature and poetry. As a model, she has worked for brands like Mercedes, Anaís, Stupefashion, London Vintange and many others. As make up artist, she has worked short films, theatre, photoshoots and fashion shows.
María decided to learn how to do makeup two years ago, as she felt the more she was equipped to do, the better. Her makeup skills have proven to be a success for herself and her business.
