I have had an interest in photography from a very young age, my family nick name is David (Bailey) as I have always seen the world through the lens of a camera. This passion for photography grew as I studied GSCE art, and as a teenager I refused to go onto a college that didn’t offer Photography as an A Level subject. I was single minded and very determined.

After completing my A Level in Photography along side Graphic Design and other subjects I went onto complete a BA Hons in Advertising Design. Throughout the 3 years of my degree my love for photography continued. This passion resulted in working a full time photography job for two well-known e-commerce brands at the same time as successfully completing my degree.

After graduating from Salford University I knew that photography was the career for me and my skills from my degree would help me sell myself as a photographer. So I took the leap and worked freelance for many fashion brands and e-commerce businesses.

In July 2014 I took the decision to open my own business at 21 years of age. I created a brand and soon Ex-Pose Photography was born. This business sees me not only dealing with big fashion brands but discovering my flair for Wedding Photography and Newborn Photography. Within the last year the business has grown from strength to strength and I have recently moved into a much bigger studio to keep up with demands from Fashion Clients and families.

In the late months of 2014 I met Karis McDwyer, Hair Stylist and Make-Up artist and started to regularly work with her on Fashion Shoots. Karis and I instantly clicked, we now collaborate regularly to make the most of our complementary skills to offer Make-Over Photo shoots and Model Portfolios. From this one idea became my second business, Visually Perfect Photography which I now co-own with Karis.
