Accessories - the cherry on top of any great outfit
Being a total fashion and style lover I am constantly looking at people for inspiration and ideas. What they wear, how they wear it, sometimes even why they wear it. I especially adore style and here’s why, it set’s us all apart! As Coco Channel once said “Fashion is what you buy, style is what you do with it” and this is where those simple little items called accessories come in. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve looked at a beautiful outfit on someone and thought there’s something missing and almost every time it’s accessories.
Accessories make an outfit. A simple pair of earrings or the perfect bunch of cool chick bangles or bracelet, not to forget the beautiful statement neckpiece that adds just enough colour to change a good outfit into a great outfit. Accessories really do allow us to play with what we are wearing. Take two girls in the same LBD one decides to add simple studded earrings, a silver bracelet and maybe a dress ring, with hair tied in a pin and a cute bling clutch with Mary Jane Peep toe heels. A pretty classic look I think. The second wears flowing earrings, a chunky neck piece, lots of bangles, maybe a thumb & pinkie ring, oversized bag, hair down with a wave though it and maybe cute angle boots. Then you’ve got a bohemian look. So there you have it, the same black dress but two completely different looks. All this just by adding accessories, therefore creating our own style and allowing our own individually to shine through.
It’s not just about jewellery or handbags, lets not forget something as simple as a scarf, hair piece or hat and one of my personal favourites sunglasses. As we are all works of art, not one of us created the same, expressing ourselves is so important. The Fashion we buy sometimes can make us all look so uniform, accessories give us the perfect opportunity to create what we see as beautiful and stylish. I love that we can drape our bodies in the same dress as the next girl but accessories add our own personal style and statement about what we like and who we are.
