Sharon Tuckers Style Secrets
So we are mid-January, how many of you are still sticking to your new year’s resolutions? Did you join a gym, quit smoking/junk-food or just add something to your life to enhance it? It can be tough to get motivated but with so many different types of Classes and clubs springing up, you are sure to find one that suits you. I decided that my whole lifestyle needed “upgrading” for the long-term. So I found a personal trainer Leanne Moore (amazing singer/actress also). I am going to train 1 on 1 with Leanne a couple of times a week along with a healthy food plan and lots of support and I will be on my way to a new “improved” me. “There is always room for improvement I say”, and I am determined to get healthy and fit. What don’t kill you makes you stronger right?!!
It’s been a rollercoaster for the last few weeks, I have been sick with the flu, coughing and wheezing and sinus infections. Armed with medication that would fill a hospital (slight exaggeration) but it just wasn’t shifting. So I decided to go the alternative route and try this new Clinic “Just be Holistic Therapies” where Yvonne Clarke treated me with “Hop I Candle Ear Treatment” to treat my sinus. It only took a few minutes to treat on each ear, and I was a bit sceptical at first, but Yvonne assured me it would take 24 hours to work. Next day I woke up after 2 weeks being smothered, I was back to my 100% self, head was clear, I was so impressed so I will be returning. Check out her website for more info www.justbe.ie
But on a positive note, I had some exciting news too, making an appearance on Xpose on TV3 as a panellist for a segment called “Trend Tacklers”. It was so much fun, meeting all the team from Xpose and seeing how much hard work and dedication they put in was eye opening. The idea was that we the panellists were judging a model styled by the amazing stylist Irene O’ Brien, in various looks for this season. Having met Xpose top guy Peter O’ Riordan before with Vplus models on “The Saturday night live” show and now the friendly and professional Aisling O’ Loughlin, I can see why this show is so popular. P.S. More to come over the next coming weeks too. Xpose is on for an hour on TV3 Monday to Friday 6-7pm where you will see the hottest newest trends in fashion beauty and more.
The extent of my fantastic news was just overwhelming as I am now Ambassador for GeorgiaJane Skincare. From quench thirsting Moisturisers, Cleansers, Serums, eye gels, Lip balms the list is endless. GeorgiaJane is 100% Irish and using only natural ingredients in its skincare products. TIP: Winter proof your skin. Remember ladies to keep your skins moisture levels up as the temperatures go down! GeorgiaJane’s multi-tasking products also help to ‘age-proof’ your skin, promoting clean, healthy and radiant skin. As you get older your skin loses its elasticity and wrinkles begin to form but they stock anti-ageing moisturisers for all skin types that will do the job, effectively and naturally. I can’t get enough of their “Radiant & Renewed Treatment Serum”, a must for any skin type. When you try these products on your skin, you will be converted, just like I am. For orders you can go to their website www.georgiajaneskincare.com or visit Beau Ireland Clinic on the Ennis road Limerick.
While it is so vital to look after your skin, it is equally important to look after your crowning glory; your hair. We all like to overdo it with the heating elements, struggling to straighten while ripping your roots out or curling the latest style with the hot irons without burning your fingertips, it’s just too much sometimes for our fragile manes. As advised by my hair stylist Noelle Murray from Edan Hair Studio in Limerick, we should be using moisturising hair treatments twice a week in this cold weather.
Noelle recommends Kérastase hair care brand which can be found in any Huge Campbell hair studio in Limerick or Peter Marks nationwide. Kérastase has led the way since 1964 as the finest luxury hair care brand with unique formulas, innovative ingredients and the ultimate hair care leaving your hair feeling and looking beautiful. Shampoos, conditioners, masks, and heat protecting sprays to name a few that I have stocked up on. It make cost you a few euro more that supermarket brands but it is so worth it to have strong shinning locks to be proud of.
And last but not least, I must tell you about my latest new find; TanOrganic Oil, an Irish company who developed the world's first and only Eco-certified tanning brand. Made from natural ingredients with no toxic preservatives, parabens or drying agents. As with a lot of fake tans, this oil had no “Fake tan” smell and didn’t need to use a mitt or gloves, just wipe the palms of my hands and hairline with baby wipes, bonus!! I knew this was a winner when I woke up to a beautiful glow of tan and not one streak in sight. TanOrganic Oil and other TanOrganic products are for sale in Boots chemist/McCabes pharmacies and other good stockists. My advice; Stock up for summer, this is going to popular.
Until next time X Sharon
