I started my photography adventure 6 years ago when my mum & dad bought me a camera for my birthday (Sony A33) since then I've been into photography none stop and its pretty much taken over my life.
I soon started taking photos any chance I got. I went to local fashion shows in Liverpool, birthday parties and weddings just to gain experience taking photos at these events. I also had my own little home studio so I could practice different lighting techniques.
After spending 2 or so years doing all that learning what I could, I then decided the time was right to take the next step and open my own business in studio & wedding photography, so I quit my job as a bar tender, went to the princes trust and with there support opened Nova Studios.
The main aim of this shoot was to create a natural portrait of the model Georgia Urmson, I achieved this by using a softbox/ strobe light on a boom arm hanging overhead and used 3 silver reflectors underneath her chin to fill in the shadows.
I have a great passion for photography and couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life. I would have to thank my mum and dad for buying me that camera because without it I wouldn't be where I am today.
